أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّٰهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ ٱللَّٰهِ
Transliteration: Ash-hadu an la ilaha illa Allah, wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan rasul Allah

This means: "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah."

The Shahada has two parts:
Part 1: "There is no god but Allah" - This means you believe in only ONE God. Not multiple gods, not idols, just the One true Creator of everything.
Part 2: "Muhammad is the messenger of Allah" - This means you accept Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as God's final messenger who brought the Quran.

The most important thing is sincerity. You don't need to be perfect or know everything about Islam. Just say the Shahada with genuine belief in your heart, and you're Muslim!
