Begin by intending in your heart to purify yourself for prayer.
Instruction: Say "Bismillah" and prepare to perform wudu calmly.
Tip: The intention is in the heart. You do not need to say it aloud.
Wash both hands to the wrists, letting water reach between the fingers.
Instruction: Wash the hands three times, beginning with the right.
Repeat 3 times.
Tip: Interlace your fingers so water reaches between them.
Take a little water with the right hand, rinse your mouth, then release it.
Instruction: Rinse the mouth three times without wasting water.
Repeat 3 times.
Draw a small amount of water into the nose, then gently blow it out.
Instruction: Clean the nose three times, gently and safely.
Repeat 3 times.
Tip: Use only enough water to clean. Do not sniff too deeply.
Wash the whole face from hairline to chin, and from ear to ear.
Instruction: Wash the face three times, covering every part.
Repeat 3 times.
Tip: If you have a beard, make sure water reaches what is required.
Wash from fingertips to elbows, including the elbows.
Instruction: Wash the right arm three times, then the left arm three times.
Repeat 3 times.
Tip: Starting with the right side is from the Sunnah.
With wet hands, wipe the head once from front to back and back again.
Instruction: Wipe the head once.
Wipe inside and outside the ears with wet fingers.
Instruction: Wipe the ears once.
Tip: You may use the same wetness from wiping the head.
Wash both feet to the ankles, including between the toes.
Instruction: Wash the right foot three times, then the left foot three times.
Repeat 3 times.
Tip: Do not miss the heels, ankles, or spaces between the toes.
أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ
Ashhadu an la ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah, wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan abduhu wa rasuluh
Meaning: I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, without partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger.
